"Never Alone"

But the righteousness based on faith says,
“Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down)
“or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
But what does it say?
“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”
(that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because,
if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with
the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says,
“Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”

~ Romans 10:6-11 (ESV)

This song has been in my heart for years, probably since the first time I head it. It was the reason I bought the CD (back in the day before iTunes or even MP3 players). It was the reason I went to their concert when they were here in town several years ago. It's a simple message really... "If we have Jesus, then we have God & if we have God (and He therefore has us) then we are NEVER ALONE." How many times each month, maybe even each day, do we need that reminder. Emmanuel: GOD, the Creator and sustainer of all things, is WITH US! He is always near to each one of us! Truly, there can be no greater source of hope in this life, than the knowledge (even when we cannot see Him) that we are never alone.
