Lists
Sometimes I write lists. I write "to-do" lists, shopping lists, project lists, and people lists. I like having a visual reminder of what I want to accomplish. Generally, the lists contain more than I can actually accomplish, and most of them end up lost before I work all the way through them. This morning I found a previously lost list. It's a different sort of list. It's a list of changes I would make (or like to see made) in our government.
We've fallen away from our principles, and new immoralities are filling the void. Some of my ideas may seem extreme, but what can I say? They are. They are also (I believe) better than where we are going now. So, here's my list...
* We need to outlaw pornography, 'no-fault' divorce, sodomy, adultery, elective abortion, telemarketing, and personal income tax.
* We need to enforce our immigration laws, demanding proof of citizenship and/or eligibility required for all employment, closing any buisiness knowlingly hiring illegal immigrants, establishing English-only education, requiring proof of citizenship for release from hospital care, and setting a date for the seizure and extradition of all illegals.
* We need to establish a manditory 2-year government service at 18 year old: job options will be determined by factors such as High School GPA and could include Military Service, Corp of Engineers, Postal Service, Peace Corp, Police, Legislative Service, Municipal Services, and Social Services. (High School graduation at 17 years old)
* We need to make it possible to include Capital Punishment as a sentence for Aggravated Sexual Assault, Child Rape, Kidnapping, and Slavery.
* We need Constitutional (biblical) protections for marriage and religious expression. (At the County level, we need manditory marriage counselling.)
* We need a zero-tolerance policy for a 2nd DUI and regular driver's testing for Senior Citizens.
* We need a General Presidential Primary, where all the candidates (regardless of political party) are considered on the same day across the U.S. with all of those receiving a certain percentage of the primary votes being eligible to run in the general election.
* We need term limits for all elected Federal offices (especially Congress).
* We need a Zero-Sum National Budget (including a real plan for deficit elimintation) based on a National Sales Tax (included in listed price).
* We need energy independence, affordable solar-hybrids, a mandated 40 MPG minimum, a repeal of the 15% government tax on fuel sales (replaced by National Sales Tax), new oil refineries, an end to the Ethanol debauchal, and increased use of wind, water, and solar power processes.
